What's wrong with this picture?
Good morning
In the past I have used such sites as Pixabay and Morguefiile to obtain copyright free images for our newsletters and websites etc. . However I have come across a site which is quick and easy to use and searches across many sites for Public Domain (CCO) images which can be freely used, although you may have to give a credit to the author in some instances.
As for what's wrong with the picture above? Admittedly I'm being rather pernickety. The young lady appears to be taking a photo using a viewfinder on the rear of a Kodak Box Brownie camera.. I'm old enough to have used a box camera and in order to take a photo you had to hold the camera at waist level as the viewfinders are on the side and top. Once you'd finished the roll of film, take it to the chemist and wait a few days before you saw your, often blurry, results.
All in all a lengthy and expensive business. So different from having hi-res camera in your pocket and being able to view and share the results instantly and for free.
Handy Windows shortcuts you may not know
Most of us know the "Ctrl X" "CTRL C" and "Ctrl V" keyboard shortcuts to Cut, Copy, and Paste text or images in Microsoft Windows which have been around for donkeys years.
However there are some later shortcuts introduced in Windows 10 using the "Windows" (WIN) key, to the right of the Ctrl key you may not have known and thse include:
"WIN V" Keep a history of your use of the copy command since you last logged in so you can re-paste something you copied earlier.. I've found this more useful than I expected. The very first time you use it you need to give it the go-ahead.
"WIN SHIFT S" Much easier than using the Snipping tool enables you to copy a selection of your screen to the clipboard ready to be pasted into a document, email or Paint etc.
Give then a try.
With no explanation why Microsoft are discontnuing Paint 3D from November so make sure you've installed it before 2nd November if you want to use it.
