And here we have a bodacious Boho Baguette created and submitted by Lyn Wortley of Rotherham in the United Kingdom. She said it was actually the first of three Boho's that she made because she enjoyed the process so much. The exterior is a light-weight denim, so my it's my bet that this beauty will be around for a long time! :)

Swaddling has been practiced for hundreds of years all over the world, and with good reason... because swaddling is a fabulous way to calm a newborn baby. This swaddle blanket helps take the mystery out of folding a traditional square blanket, which, without experience, often comes undone. And here's the best part, these instructions are free! Made up in a fun print, it would be a terrific gift for a new parent, no?

Techie Tutorial of the Month- "404 Page Not Found"
|
|
|
Question: Sometimes when I try to visit a website, I get a message that says something like, "404 Page Not Found." What does this mean and what should I do next?
Answer: This error message means the page corresponding to the URL you entered cannot be found on the site's server. It's possible the page no longer exists or that there is an error in the URL you entered. To rule out the second possibility, check the URL carefully to ensure you didn't mistype. If it seems accurate, try these steps:
|
|
1. Try removing one level of the URL at a time. For example, if you typed in "http://www.abc.com/x/y/z," remove "/z." If you still see nothing, or an error message, remove "/y," and so on. If you finally get to the home page (e.g. "http://www.abc.com"), try browsing or doing a search for the information you're looking for.
2. Test the URL at the site downforeveryoneorjustme.com. This site will tell you if just you are unable to access the page or if it's a problem with the site itself.

New York (January 10, 2014)— The United States figure skating championships had not yet opened Thursday when a skater had a wardrobe malfunction at ice dance practice. Not to worry.
“Her mother’s flying in with a zipper,” said Jan O’Neill, a volunteer seamstress who has made and repaired skating costumes for 25 years.
Across the hall in the warm-up area at TD Garden, Paul Loder sat in a trailer with the tools of a skate technician: screwdrivers, pliers, drills, awls, glue, a blade sharpener and a sewing machine designed for saddle leather.

Today is Wednesday, April 9th, the 99th day of 2014 (there are 266 days remaining in this year).
And if you're going to be anywhere in the vicinity of Lucerne, Switzerland this week (pictured above), then you're in for a treat because there's still 4 days left in the Lucerne Festival at Easter, an annual event featuring old, new, sacred & secular music of the season. And you know what? This sounds fun but literally ANY excuse to visit Lucerne is a good excuse because it's an extraordiinarily beautiful place.
Today is also a special day for Michael Learned (legendary Mom on the TV series, The Waltons) who is celebrating her 75th birthday, as is multi-talented American handbag and clothing designer, Marc Jacobs. And if today also happens to be YOUR birthday today, then here's a great big "Happy Birthday to YOU" from all of us at StudioKat Designs, and if today is not your birthday, you can celebrate the day anyway by watching this program preview for the Lucerne Festival at Easter or maybe by just curling up in your favorite comfy chair and watching an old Waltons episode. Goodnight John-boy!
