Following Thanksgiving, shoppers are enticed to comb through deals on Black Friday and Cyber Monday but there's another
post-Thanksgiving tradition you may not have heard of: Giving Tuesday, a day for people to get together and give back to their communities.
This year GivingTuesday falls on Nov. 30, 2021 and Facebook along with Dance Parade's Board of Directors is offering donor perks and a 3 to 1 match for donations to support our education programs in schools that culminate with participation in Dance Parade. Join us to support the art and passion of dance!

Join over 10,000 dancers as we recreate New York City's largest dance event!
Over 100 unique styles of dance and culture will be presented Saturday May 21, 2022. Come 2-step, swing, break, waack, shimmy and twirl down Broadway, past our Grandstand in Astor Plaza and make your way to DanceFest in Tompkins Square Park with five stages of dance, dance, dance!

Kids Breaking League awarded the Gabriel Kutik Memorial Scholarship
|
|
Dance Parade celebrates Gabriel Kutik’s life and his passionate contributions to our organization for over ten years.
Thanks to a generous donation from the Estate of Gabriel Kutik, the KBL Foundation has been given a scholarship to eleven dancers between the ages of 6 and 17 to participate in a special December recital dedicated to fellow breaker Gabriel Kutik. His memory and passion for dance will be honored through this special performance in December as well as at Dance Parade 2022.

Support Arts Education in New York State
|
Earlier this month Dance Parade's Community Engagement Director, Carlye Eckert, made her way to Bethel Woods to attend the New York State Alliance for Arts Education (NYSAAE) summit.
Join Dance Parade to support two bills that will make Arts Education a Core Academic Subject enabling equitable access to arts education for all students!

Help end the Cabaret Law - Sign the Petition!
|
|
Dance Parade began as a protest to the restrictions posed by the New York City Cabaret Law. Though the licensing requirement was repealed in 2017, dancing is still mostly absent due to zoning laws.
On August 26th, Council Member Keith Powers, Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams (the city's new Mayor),
and
Council Member Mark Levine (Manhattan's new Borough President) proposed a resolution to
repeal Cabaret Law zoning regulations so establishments would be regulated based on capacity
