As our community begins to recover, Precinct One has compiled a list of resources in English and Spanish to help our residents. This includes information about food and water distributions, recovery resources from FEMA and Harris County, and rental assistance, among others.

 Addie's passion is service. Bringing over 25 years of community service to the Fort Bend/Houston Area, Addie has devoted her talents to improving her community. Her volunteer work began shortly after arriving to Houston by preparing and delivering meals to families with ill loved ones. 
Currently, Addie serves as the Fort Bend ISD Board President. With Addie’s assistance, the Fort Bend Independent School District increased the academic ratings for schools that required academic improvement
Media professionals and students who have produced material for the public which accurately and positively reports on people with disabilities. Nominations can be submitted by anyone and self-nominations are encouraged.

Awards are presented in several different categories, including Book, Broadcast, Photojournalism, Print, and College or High School Student. Winners are selected by a panel of professional journalists, people with disabilities, and disability services professionals.
