The corona virus COVID-19 has been controlling the world for some time now.
In most countries, de-escalation of the measures taken due to the corona virus have recently been announced. Spain will lower restrictions in 4 phases. Different regions can find themselves in different phases. There may be situations where provinces within an autonomous region may de-escalate to the next phase at different times.
Meanwhile, scientists at the Singapore University of Technology and Design are predicting when the coronavirus will disappear. According to their latest study, on the 6th of May 2020, there will be no new cases from the 19th of May 2020 onwards, and the virus will theoretically have left Spain on the 14th of August 2020. In the UK, on the other hand, new cases of the virus will arise until the 18th of June 2020, and the virus will leave the country by the 26th of September 2020. Please note that we should take a possible deviation into account. In addition, these models are based on the latest available information, which is constantly changing.
At the same time, pharmacists around the world are working hard to develop a vaccine. More than 8 billion euros have already been spent on developing a vaccine, hundreds of pharmaceutical companies worldwide are working on this, and eight vaccines are now being tested on humans. However, specialists also indicate that a vaccine will probably not be available until the end of the year. As a result, the demand is growing for other pharmaceutics that could help to stop or inhibit the virus. In this way, the research of Peter van der Voort, head of Intensive Care at a Dutch Hospital (UMC Groningen), seems to explain that a dietary supplement, called resveratrol, could possibly lower the illness of the disease. Resveratrol potentially decreases the amount of leptin in the blood. This substance is found in an increased percentage in the body of corona patients and is produced by overweight people. You can obtain resveratrol at our clinic.
There are several theories about the origin of the virus. However, the most likely explanation is that humans were infected through animals, which in turn, were infected by bats at a market in Wuhan. The expectation is that the virus, officially called SARS-CoV-2, has evolved in animals, such as bats, for decades.
Would you like to know more about the coronavirus? Netflix offers an interesting short documentary about the origin of the virus, called "Coronavirus explained". New episodes will be added over time.
