Pikes Peak Paradise Brown Butter Peaches
4 TBSP unsalted butter
4 ripe peaches
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup maple syrup
½ tsp salt
1. Heat a large skillet over medium-low heat. Add butter, continuously swirling pan as it melts. The butter will turn golden brown. Once you see brown bits, pour in syrup.
2. Stir in the brown sugar and salt. Increase heat to medium. Add the peaches and cook for 5-8 minutes, stirring occasionally. Once the syrup has thickened and the peaches have softened remove from heat and cover to keep warm.
We used this to top our favorite French toast recipe, but it would be great on pancakes, waffles, or anything really!
