Urban Tellers was Fabulous!

What a great audience we had last Friday. Thank you for buying your tickets in advance, although we did manage to find a seat for everyone who showed up. It was packed!

The theme that emerged, Game Changer, resonated with the tellers and the listeners. Thanks to tellers Tamara Lynne, Lynn St. Georges, Chere Weiss (the Zydeco demo was spectacular!), Keith Cantrell, Caryl Taylor, and Jerry Shifman.

We had a special guest in the audience, Melanie Tait of ABC Radio Australia's Now Hear This. What a delightful opportunity to share our work.

Cory Huff, Portland Story Theater alum, will perform his solo show, Morman Redneck Thespian as part of CoHo Theatre's Summer Solo Festival. This piece was originally work-shopped at The Fertile Ground Festival and then premiered at Portland Story Theater's Singlehandedly! Solo Festival this past April. Lynne and Lawrence are very excited to be opening for Cory with two short stories.

This show runs June 21, 22, 23, 24, 2012 at CoHo Theatre as part of their Summer Solo Festival. CoHo is located at 2257 NW Raleigh Street in Portland.

Lynne will tell Éist! Is Éireannach mé! (that's Gaelic for Listen, I'm Irish!), a true story of how fate brought the love child of one father under the protection of another, and Lawrence will tell Bird in the Dojo, a story about his brilliant but short-lived career in the martial arts.
