An Egyptian getaway - For the first time in 30+ years in business, Holden House took a brief holiday hiatus while innkeeper-owners Sallie and Welling Clark spent the Christmas break in Egypt and it was a bucket list trip! During their Nile cruise, they experienced many sights including the Giza and Step pyramids, the Sphinx, King Tut and Nefertari's tombs and Valley of the Kings and Queens with a morning balloon ride over amazing scenery.
Innkeepers Sallie and Welling Clark took a long-awaited break from Holden House with an Egyptian getaway. Now it's back to work and the inn is back open and ready to welcome guests for your next staycation or vacation visit to stay with us.

Built in 1902 by Mrs. Isabel Holden, the widow of a prosperous Colorado Springs businessman, the Holden House is a lovely Victorian inn featuring three adjacent homes decorated with family heirlooms and elegant antiques. We're located on a quiet tree-lined residential street, just a mile from downtown, near historic Old Colorado City and just a few minutes from quaint Manitou Springs.
