Help end the Cabaret Law - Sign the Petition!
|
Dance Parade began as a protest to NYC Cabaret Law. Though the licensing requirement was repealed in 2017, dancing is still mostly absent due to zoning laws.
On August 26th, Council Member Keith Powers, Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams,
and
Council Member Mark Levine proposed a resolution to
repeal Cabaret Law zoning regulations so establishments would be regulated based on capacity
of venue, rather than zoning. ( Read full Press Release check out Legalize Dance NYC)
