Teresa Compton of TX modified our Walkabout Wallet for her grandaughter Kali, who has Type 1 diabetes. Now she can carry her medical supplies easily and still feel cool!
Dawn King of Hamilton, NJ wasn’t so sure she’d like this leopard print for her  Everyday Attache but now that its complete, she totally loves it! PLUS– she was surprised to see how much stuff she can fit into this beauty while still being organized! Great job Dawn!
Ruth Beaumont of Friendswood, TX used a cute coffee-themed border print for this Walkabout Wallet then added perfect fussy cutting AND our black & white striped zippers for a stand-out bag! Now all she has to so is decide who in her family to give it to!

Marilyn Carper of Oklahoma City, OK was excited to show me her colorfully FUN HipBag Hybrid during the Quilt Festival in Houston last Fall. She said she was REALLY enjoying carrying it at the show!
And once again Wendy Holtorff of San Antonio, TX had a new bag to show me at Quilt Festival! This year Wendy was pleased to be able to do all of her shopping “hands-free” with her new Cosmo Convertible!
And that’s not all! Carol Martin of Lockhart, TX also had a beautiful HipBag Hybrid to show off at Quilt Festival!
And here's a delightful Triple Play created by Norma Hornung of Jelling, Denmark. Norma told me used hand-dyed fabric for this beauty and had “SO much fun” making it and then ultimately gifting it to a friend!
And wrapping up our contest this month is this wild & wonderful Everyday Attache by Mary Syme of Hillsboro, OR. The fabric Mary used is from Laurel Burch’s “Jungle Song” collection & is set off perfectly by our striped zips!
OK, ready to vote now?

Bobbin Around the Web- Kate Colleran Designs
I met Kate Colleran quite a few years ago at a Quilt Market and we've been keeping up with each other's exploits for quite a while now. Kate's a prolific quilt designer and if you're familiar with her work you can see her MANY patterns here, of which my favorite is "Sail Away". But that's not all. Kate has a couple of books on the market and a great website with free patterns, tips & tutorials as well an interesting Blog where you can learn to "ice dye". And while your there, don't forget to check out Kate's FaceBook page, Pinterest page & YouTube videos.

Techie Tutorial of the Month-
How to share a FaceBook Video somewhere OTHER than FaceBook!
Ever see a video on Facebook you want to share, but not on Facebook? Perhaps in a text message, an email, a blog post or a newsletter? (This happens to me when I want to share something inside joke-ish with my daughter or a buddy for example.)
Just do this:
1. While on your computer, find the video on Facebook.
2. Right-click on it (control-click on a Mac).
3. Select "Show video URL" from the menu.
4. Highlight the whole link in the box that appears & copy.
5. Paste it wherever.

Liz Clark, 34, a self-proclaimed “she-pirate,” has been sailing around the world since 2006 when she quit her job as a bartender in San Diego, California. Clark was given a Cal40 sailboat on the condition that she would document her adventures around the world. In 2013, “Captain Lizzy” welcomed a 6-month-old kitten that she rescued aboard.  {Click HERE to continue reading this story}
