LOOKING BACK AT 2022
The twelfth year of Austrian Music Export’s existence was an exciting and inspiring one. After two years of too many online events to count, 2022 brought with it a feeling of a “reboot” and with it, more and more live events. So much so, that it was often hard to keep up with all of exciting activities of Austrian artists, bands and musical projects, at home and abroad. (But, if “too much” activity is the problem – we’ll take it!). Seeing the live scenes and music markets rejuvenate as they did after the undeniably challenging years of the pandemic was, and continues to be, a joy to experience and contribute to, and we expect nothing less in the year to come. read more »

W1ZE ON THE “FEAR OF FEMININE”
W1ze is one of the most promising new artists to hit the Viennese music scene for many reasons but most notably for her voice and what she has to say when she sings. Tonica Hunter's latest piece portrays the artist, who also goes by “Angel”, giving intimate insight into her artistic journey, culminating in her latest feat: the release of her single “Bless” (Sony Music Austria).

9 AUSTRIAN ARTISTS AT ESNS 2023
Taking place from January 18-21, 2023 in Groningen, the Dutch festival EUROSONIC NOORDERSLAG (ESNS) features Europe’s most promising up-and-coming artists and gathers the most important stakeholders of the music industry.
Nine Austrian artists have been invited to present themselves at the 2023 festival edition. They are: Aze, Doppelfinger, Florence Arman, Good Wilson, OSKA, Takeshi’s Cashew, Toupaz, Uche Yara and Wallners.
