 Antlers on the Creek is nestled in a scenic canyon just outside Historic Downtown Durango. Innkeeper Susan Barrett, says that pampering guests in the inn's version of luxury is their specialty, with fresh flowers, freshly baked goodies, custom linens, 100% cotton sheets, thick plush towels, comfy robes and even citrus scented bath products. This luxurious property includes seven spacious guestrooms and suites, offering  contemporary mountain style with beds that are so comfortable "you’ll want to luxuriate in them all day". Inn the Kitchen - Delicious B&B Recipes!
|
Cranberry Apricot Chutney
12 ounces fresh or frozen cranberries
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup dried apricots, coarsely chopped
1/3 cup dried currants
1/3 cup golden raisins
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
2 tangerines (may be replaced with canned mandarin orange slices)
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/8 Teaspoon nutmeg
1/8 Teaspoon cinnamon
1. Sort and discard any bruised or decayed fruit. Rinse berries.
2. Place cranberries, sugar, dried apricots, currants, raisins, nutmeg, cinnamon, and vinegar in a 4 quart sauce pan. Heat until mixture comes to a boil over a medium-high heat. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until cranberries begin to pop. - 5 to 8 minutes.
3. Meanwhile, peel tangerines and remove white membrane. Separate segments and coarsely chop, discarding seeds. Add tangerines to pan.
4. Simmer to blend flavors - 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in pecans. Serve at room temperature or chilled.
