THE WIRE & SHAPE PLATFORM JOIN FORCES
For next month, THE WIRE magazine has made a special collaboration with the European project SHAPE, featuring their chosen artists for 2021. All Wire print subscribers will receive a copy of the latest SHAPE platform compilation CD with their February 2022 issue. NASOM – NEW AUSTRIAN SOUND OF MUSIC 2023/24
NASOM – The New Austrian Sound Of Music is a special funding program of the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs performing abroad. The selected ensembles, bands and soloists receive increased funding for international performances over the period of two years. Submissions for the NASOM’s funding period 2023/2024 are now open.

5 MILLONEN PESOS: JULIA SCHREITL
5 MILLION PESOS is a monthly concert series presented by ORF RadioKulturhaus and the radio Ö1 jazz department. Every month, one up-and-coming jazz act is selected to be highlighted on air and live at the Vienna RadioCafe. We start our new cooperation with radio Ö1 by introducing the Austrian saxophonist JULIA SCHREITL.

The FM4 Soundpark is a web-platform, community, and radio show for Austrian musicians. Every month, one act is selected to be highlighted both online and on air: The FM4 Soundpark Act of the Month. EMX’S MEXICAN TRADE MISSION: OPEN CALL
EMX has just opened an open call for European participants to join a physical trade mission to Mexico City from May 23-29, 2022! Applications are open till February 20, 2022. The EMX project is looking for 15 European music professionals, working in the electronic music genres, including all sub-genres, from Electronica to Techno, House to Ambient and anything in between. read more »

CROSSWAYS IN CONTEMPORARY MUSIC – NATURE II
As part of “Crossways in Contemporary Music“, we went in search of Austrian composers or composers living in Austria who create an individual approach to nature in their music. Part 2 deals with new music and ecomusicology - and presents works by Angelica Castello, Tanja Brüggemann, Katharina Roth, René Staar, Katharina Klement, Susanna Ridler, and Gabriele Proy.

FOOTPRINTS – CALL FOR AGENTS 2022
FOOTPRINTS is addressed to young and motivated agents willing to develop their experience on tours and European networks. They will be working with musicians applying to the project and put in touch with FT partners in order to benefit from their experience and specific expertise. Last year’s pick of agents included Austrian Artist Manager, Tom Tanzer. The deadline for applications: February 14th, 2022.
