If you're not heading away this Easter. it would be great to see you at our Gallery. We have a fun and creative weekend planned for you with three great exhibitions on show together and 'Artists in Action'.

1) From the Forest to the Shore -Woodturning & Carving  - until 10th April
This exhibition of 88 artworks in wood by 12 of Wellington region’s top woodwork artists, is a must see. The exhibition has a unique connection with the Petone Foreshore in that some craftsmen have carefully selected driftwood pieces which they found washed up on Petone beach and they've transformed them into the most incredible carvings.  Our resident wood turner, Hugh Mill, is joined by other artists such as, Graeme McIntyre, Phil Quinn, John Spital, Archie Kerr and Jim Howell and many others.

2) Kapiti Pastels - until 10th April
14 pastel artists from the Kapiti Coast and Mana area, present an exhibition of 40 of their inspiring artworks. A wide range of subjects from rural Pautahanui and moody local coastal scenes, through to City scapes and abstracts are on display. The medium of Pastel is increasing in popularity around the world and talented New Zealand artists such as these are contributing to the exciting growth of this medium.

3) Brushwork - Paintings by Heinz Speyer - until Sunday 4th April
Heinz will be painting and talking about his exhibition in the Drawing Room.  He is also offering teaching on a one to one basis and is very willing to share his painting skills.  If youre intersted, please call the Gallery on 04 979 9889.
