Concert Day Details
Call times (be in the sanctuary choir loft ready to sing):
- Chamber Singers 6:00
- Chorus 6:45
Dress:
- plain, solid black (including hose/socks & shoes)
- long (sleeves, pants, skirt)
- no colorful or sparkly accessories/jewelry
- shower/deodorant/teeth-brushing yes, scents no
Other tips:
- DON'T LOCK YOUR KNEES! If your feet/legs are getting tired, try unobtrusively lifting first one heel, then the other. If you start to feel dizzy or light-headed, it's better to sit down than fall down!
- remember to hold your music UP so that you can WATCH GERALD over the top of it without having to tilt your face downward to read it
- when standing in the choir loft, angle your body slightly toward the center -- try putting your "outside" foot slightly forward -- to give yourself and the people on either side of you a little more space
- when processing in/out, carry your music in the hand AWAY from the audience
