During the weekend at COTA, I had an opportunity to interview multiple drivers one-on-one. I visited with Hendrick Motorsports driver Alex Bowman and had an interesting conversation on various topics, including losing at such a high rate and how drivers deal with it, conflicts in the sport and why he likes to avoid them, and who would make for NASCAR's top rivalry. Ryan Blaney is the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series champion. He recently said as champion he wants to be like Jeff Gordon of the 90s. Gordon appeared on Saturday Night Live in the height of his popularity.
