I will be at each rehearsal by 6:30 pm and if you are able to come early regularly or every so often, we can use the time to get to know each other better and work on the music too. I keep extra highlighters in my bag, so if you haven’t highlighted your part yet, we can sit and highlight our respective parts as we chat.
Early in each semester last season, I came to rehearsal with a surprise, music-themed question that members answered on index cards. It can be hard to get to know one another in a chorus as large as ours, and the break hardly affords time for any meaningful conversation. I collected the responses and shared them throughout the rest of the semester. Well, I have a question ready for this semester, and I am taking a different approach this time, since you may need to give this question more thought. Here goes:

OR
