Dear Neighbors,
As fall begins 🍁🍂 here are your monthly updates.
60 New Parking Spots at 15th and Park!
I recently updated you about major infrastructure progress on 15th Street, 16th Street, and the avenues west of Willow. You can click these links to see recent photos showing the dramatic transformation of our streetscapes in Northwest Hoboken that have been years in the making.
For many businesses operating in Northwest Hoboken, this progress came with serious inconveniences — street closures, parking restrictions, and heavy construction impacting daily operations.
In response, for more than a year I have worked with a collection of businesses in Northwest Hoboken on a plan to transform a portion of Rockefeller Group’s future development at 15th and Park into a temporary municipal parking lot — constructed at no taxpayer expense.
So, I was thrilled to see the 1500 Park municipal lot open with 60 new parking spots! Local businesses and their customers can enjoy 50% discounted rates using the PARKHOB discount code as our way of thanking them for dealing with the major infrastructure impacts that impacted their businesses. The lot will remain open through December 2027, when Rockefeller Group will build a mixed-use development on the site.
Thanks to the Rockefeller Group for their assistance and collaboration on this effort; and thanks to Mayor Jabbour, her Administration, and the City’s land use counsel for their critical support to make this temporary lot possible.

“When are you going to fix 13th Street?”
“13th Street’s narrow sidewalks, with trees breaking them up, are impossible for wheelchairs and strollers!”
I’ve heard these complaints for years, especially from seniors and folks with disabilities living at Fox Hill Gardens.
13th St between Washington and Park now is SMOOTH with SAFE, WIDE sidewalks!

The River City Fair Returns Next Saturday!
Saturday, October 3rd the River City Fair is set to return to the Hoboken waterfront. From 12–5 pm, join neighbors, families, and visitors along Sinatra Drive from Newark St to Fifth St for a free afternoon of live music, food, local vendors, family activities, and Hudson River education.
With two stages of live performances, there will be something for everyone. From local youth performers and Hoboken musicians to the headlining indie-pop duo Cherokee Social. Pier A will also feature bounce houses and musical performances for the kids. Grab some lunch at the Food Alley, explore local artists and makers, enjoy the waterfront, and the revival of a Hoboken tradition dating back to the 1970s.
