Freelance hand lettering artist, Alissa Rosete, lives and works in San Jose, CA creating bold and fun hand lettering designs. After taking an art class in college, Alissa completely immersed herself in drawing and practiced writing letters at any spare moment she had. Being her own biggest critic, she decided to further her education and skillset by pursuing graphic design. This has given her a better understanding of her art and her creative capabilities. Aside from drawing, Alissa is also a part of the Iguanas Burritozilla marketing team as a graphic designer.
The show is called “Backwords.” The images appear to be backwards, but can be deciphered through the reflection of a mirror. What started as a commission piece for Iguanas, became her main inspiration for the theme of the show. Each piece is made using pens, markers and sharpies to create enlightening sayings and/or reminders that can be enjoyed while admiring oneself in the mirror.
