County Commissioners disapprove of
"Brine" Spreading on Franklin County Surfaces
Click HERE or on image above to read the full resolution passed by the Franklin County Board of Commissioners to disapprove of oil and gas "brine" spreading on county surfaces.
Thanks to CCBOR member Bill Lyons' efforts along with Teresa Mills and others, businesses in the county will no longer be able to receive annual approvals to spread oil and gas waste "brines" on their unpaved surfaces for dust and/or ice control.
This follows a resolution that Athens County passed as well that disapproves of oil and gas waste "brine" spreading on surfaces in the county.
We need your help to insist on a criminal investigation into "brine" spreading in Ohio
Residents call on the Ohio Attorney General and 9 county prosecuting attorneys to launch criminal investigations into radioactive pollution of drinking water in Ohio.
Under a 2002 law, introducing radioactive elements into Ohio drinking water is a felony offense. Companies are violating this by spreading oil and gas waste “brine” — proven by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) to contain radioactive concentrations that exceed federal and state standards — in critical drinking water basins. So are state actors, residents assert.
