Belt Up Theatre at The Lowry
Belt Up Theatre are coming to The Lowry with their shows: Odyssey and Quasimodo. Performed 1st-12th February and definitely worth catching.
Journey backstage in The Lowry alongside a homeward-bound traveller as he seeks sanctuary from a post-apocalyptic nightmare in this haunting adventure. A legend of monstrous proportion explodes: fast, furious and inches away from the audience’s eyes – this is storytelling in swift, breathtaking and exhausting form. Odyssey is a thrilling and original site-specific production that tests the boundaries of human persistence.

Venture deep beneath The Lowry to the heart of the Parisian underworld, where the audience join a family of villains taunting the poor Quasimodo into recounting his life of loneliness and rejection. As the sad story of the Hunchback’s life unravels around you, it becomes all too apparent that this is more a pitiful attempt by Quasimodo to tell the story how he wants it rather than face the tragic reality.
