It's exactly one year before I board a plane with my band to gig around the world. We circumnavigate by way of Vancouver, New Zealand, Australia and Japan.
It will be twenty years since the last world tour adventure got no further than Liverpool, but by the simple device of not taking my own 747 with us I've made this trip work.
A surprising number of people have said that they fancy joining us for a leg or even all the legs of the trip. If you think you might join us and want to be kept up to date e-mail me.
The good people at The Ot Gossip facebook page are doing a splendid job with keeping everyone informed with progress too and they have a chat group on there specifically to keep everyone up to date with info on this project.
Next year will also be ten years since Montserrat the last album of new Otway songs.
I've often said there should be one new Otway album per decade so, as our big tour co-incides with the "thirty three and a third aniversary of the band" (Which as you know is a long playing record) - I'm taking a couple of months off gigging now to start writing songs which we can record as we go around the globe.
In the autumn we are doing a few dates in Ireland November 6th - 9th and going round in a coach - get back to me if you think you might want to join us on the bus.
And at the end of July, 25th - 27th, I'm playing a ukelele festival in Prague - I wasn't going to do it because it meant learning a new instrument for just one gig.
