A playoff series comes around and everyone piles out of the woodwork :-)
Thanks, Harry Kozlowski, for reminding me about the internet broadcast of the Sabres games. Games 2 and 3 will be shown here:
http://www.comcast.net/sports/nhl/hockeylive. I did in fact watch one of the Round 1 games and the streaming was quite good, actually. Tim Sweeney seems to think that you have to have Comcast as your internet provider, but I can say at least in Round 1, this wasn't the case.
Mike Irrera says that tonight's game, at least, is scheduled to be carried on Yahoo. The links to the game are off of the main NHL page: http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl. If you look now you'll see that you can link to some of the highlights and recaps. In the scoreboard on the right you can see that the "Watch live at 7:00pm" under the Buffalo score. That's where the link should be later.
And Thanks, Adam Grieco, for passing along this fact: The Sports Depot in Allston has the Center Ice package and has televised every Sabres game so far on multiple televisions. Whether they are on OLN, MSG, TSN, whatever, they have shown them all and there have been a couple other Sabres fans there too. Hopefully we can get some more there for games that the Harp doesn't carry. Now, I know Center Ice had some "problems" by pulling away from the Round 1 games that were blowouts, so take that for what it's worth (but we should hope to have this problem, eh?)
Is it OK to hope for rainouts to my kids' baseball games so I can go watch hockey?
Keep those cards and letters coming!
Let's Go Buffalo!
