La Galerie Taylor expose une serie d'images prises tout au long de ma trajectoire de photographe, depuis les premiers sujets noir et blanc en Tanzanie jusqu'aux histoires indiennes plus récentes, en couleur.
Au fil des photographies affleurent la lente course du temps, des fragments d’histoires discrètement offertes par des semblables ou des situations glanées au souvenir de mondes. Pour que ne s’effacent de la mémoire la sérénité fugace, la vivacité soudaine ou l’inopiné de Chronique(s) Passagère(s), la photographie et les fenêtres qu’elle ouvre, demeurent.

Galerie Taylor is exhibiting a series of images taken throughout my career as a photographer, from early black-and-white features in Tanzania to more recent Indian stories in color.
These photographs reveal the slow passage of time, fragments of stories discreetly offered by fellow human beings, or situations gleaned from the memory of worlds. So that the fleeting serenity, sudden vivacity or unex-pectedness of Chronique(s) Passagère(s) do not fade from memory, photography and the windows it opens remain.

Mon projet sur le lac Victoria, en Afrique de l'Est s'intéressait au dilemme sous-jacent à l'existence des populations riveraines : leur survie confrontée à la préservation de l'envi-ronnement.
Ce point nodal est au coeur de mon dernier travail consacré aux interactions entre la conservation du sanctuaire d'Udzungwa en Tanzanie et la vie quotidienne des commu-nautés limitrophes.

My project on Lake Victoria in East Africa, focused on the dilemma underlying the existence of the local populations: their survival versus the preservation of the envi-ronment.
This nodal point is at the heart of my latest work, dedicated to the interactions between the conservation of the Udzungwa biodiversity sanctuary in Tanzania and the daily lives of the surrounding communities.
Exhibition in partnership with and sponsored by the Yves Rocher Foundation.

Près du parc national d’Udzungwa, un camion transporte jusqu’à l’usine sucrière un chargement de cannes. A flanc de montagne, les chutes situées dans le parc coule depuis le coeur des Udzungwa.
Next to Udzungwa National Park, a truck carries a load of cane to the sugar factory. On the mountainside, the falls within the park flow from the heart of the Udzungwa people.
