Newletter, Vol. 1 February 2015

What's New...
Good afternoon,
We've had a whirlwind year in working to bring awareness about the epidemic of opiate overdoses in the State of Iowa. We changed our name from "QC Overdose Awareness Walk", as we obtained our newly minted 501(c)3 non-profit status, to "Quad Cities Harm Reduction".  We're excited about our fast growth and are ready to help save lives and bring awareness to Iowans, Quad Citians, and all across the country.
We can't do this without YOU and your family and friends so join us as we work to gain access to Naloxone (Narcan) and to obtain a 9-1-1 Good Samaritan Law in Iowa through the legislative channels, because all lives are worth saving.
We're planning awareness events this year along with several really great surprises that we think you'll love as we do, so be sure to stay in touch with us. We'll send this newsletter out twice a month at the most but if we have pressing news that we feel you need to know (see CALL TO ACTION), you may get an additional newsletter. We will never sell or share your email address with anyone outside of QC Harm Reduction for any reason whatsoever. If you have information for our newsletter to share, please send it to us.

Volunteers Needed
For information on volunteer opportunities, sponsorships, and vendor opportunities, find more info here.
We are currently working to get the word out that we need phone calls and emails sent in support of the new bill in the Iowa House. We need the subcommittee members to know that there is a lot of support for the bill, so make a call or send an email today, and tell a friend. The info you need for this is here.
