HOMEWORK for 4/8:   No. 1, "A Song for all Seas, all Ships," and No. 4, "The Explorers"

Productive rehearsal last night.  It was clear that many of us have done good work at home.  Let’s keep that up as we enter the home stretch (only two more rehearsals before we see the orchestra and soloists).

In addition to working on your part with rehearsal aids like CyberBass, please listen to the recording while following  along with your score.  That will greatly help with rhythm and tempo changes (and with pitch):  https://youtu.be/6qw-3jdtfro?si=qk9n-nxJ4XMQxtef

Black Folders
We're not all using the same version of the score, and the various editions are visibly different, so we'll need to black them out so present a more uniform appearance during the concert.  You can do this either by using a black folder -- any plain black folder that will contain your score and that you can hold comfortably will do -- or by covering your score with black paper.  Please do this before the orchestra rehearsals.

Kate's Corner

At 11:18 am yesterday, I became a first-time grandmother!  My head is spinning in the most delightful way.  That’s why I missed rehearsal last evening.  I hope you had a great rehearsal and made good headway on the middle two sections of A Sea Symphony.  I’ll have my work cut out for me catching up!

And now, for our next set of “If you only had one song….” responses:

Jessica Rapp "Come Sail Away" (Styx)

Liz E                          "Pie Jesu" (Andrew Lloyd Webber)

Jim Myers                 "Bohemian Rhapsody" (Queen)

Kerali                       "Once Upon Another Time" (Sara Bareilles)

Brian Bauer               "Sweet Caroline" (Neil Diamond)

Margaret Nichols        "Amazing Grace"

Two more regular rehearsals -- yikes!  Exciting, and motivating!

May spring breezes fill your sails with energy and hope through the coming week.
