An album shaped by the strange, beautiful, and often chaotic realities of a life in motion, ‘Love Gets Bigger’ finds Homer writing about love, family, motherhood, friendship, and the passage of time with the warmth, wit, and unguarded honesty that has long defined her songwriting. Made during a period of profound change, it captures the feeling of trying to create something meaningful in amongst the everyday, finding space for music somewhere between raising a family and everything else life demands.
“Somewhere between naps, bedtimes, breastfeeding and 40-minute stretches of sleep, we made an album, and somehow, love just kept getting bigger,” says Homer.
The album’s latest preview, focus track ‘Stay Young’, offers a softer and more romantic window into the world of ‘Love Gets Bigger’. Written with her partner and co-producer Isaac Waddington, the song is perhaps Homer’s most metaphorical to date.
“If the song were a picture, it would be two glistening bodies sunbathing by a river in France in deep love and just happy to be near each other,” Homer explains. “Bathing in the sun and the leaves waving above them.”
Across its 11 tracks, ‘Love Gets Bigger’ moves through the contradictions of a life that has expanded and changed in unexpected ways, balancing intimacy and humour with tenderness, uncertainty and the everyday chaos of family life. Homer also opens the door to a wider creative world, with Aquilo featuring on track ‘Guilty’. She’ll join the duo as support for forthcoming UK dates in Manchester, Glasgow and London offering an early chance to hear the new material before her own headline return at the end of September.
That sense of imagination spills beyond the music, too. Artist Ellamae is creating a distinct illustrated landscape for each song, with the characters and scenes unfolding through the accompanying lyric videos. Together, they offer another way into Homer’s endearing universe, adding colour, personality and a little more magic to the world of ‘Love Gets Bigger’.

Homer’s return to the stage has already been met with exciting demand, with her recent headline show at London’s Folklore selling out in just three minutes. On 30th September, she’ll play The Lower Third in London, marking a long-awaited return to performing following several years away, with the forthcoming Aquilo dates giving fans an early taste of what’s to come.
Homer first emerged with a run of acclaimed EPs, including ‘Dear Life’ and ‘If You Were On Fire’, establishing a reputation for soulful songwriting, sharp humour and beautifully observed storytelling. Along the way, she earned support from BBC Radio 1 and praise from The Independent, Rolling Stone UK, NME, Clash, DORK, The Line Of Best Fit, DIY, Wonderland, The Forty-Five, Hunger, Rollacoaster, and more.
With ‘Love Gets Bigger’, Homer returns with a record that feels deeply rooted in the life she has built since we last heard from her, full of the mess, tenderness, laughter, and the enormous love that can come with watching your world change shape. It’s a record about growing into a new version of yourself while finding that, somehow, there is always room for a little more love.
