Hi everyone!
We’ve had a lot of visitors stopping by the new office lately and we’re happy to show it off. Adam the Woo dropped in last week and say hello. For those of you who aren’t familiar, Adam the Woo is a YouTube celebrity who tapes his unusual adventures around the country.
Adam was interested in the history of the Jayne Mansfield car. Turns out, he’s been to the accident location in Louisiana and has stood in the exact spot where Jayne met her end. Kindred spirits we are. I told him about our Spiderpool adventure from a few years back. Don't be surprised if Adam finds his way up there! Watch for poison everything up there!
After looking around the museum, Adam headed off to visit our neighbors, Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Although Jayne is not buried there, years ago her fans placed a cenotaph there as a way to memorialize her. Please check out the video and do stop by to see the car and take a tour.
I told him about our Journey to Spiderpool from a few years back. Something tells me he'll make it up there soon! Adam, watch out for poison everything up there and thanks for stopping by!
Some other visitors to our tour and museum include Red Dick from Lust in the Dust (you read that right). His name is actually Courtney Gains and he starred in the gloriously tacky film with Tab Hunter and Divine. That was especially fun because, as many of you know, we are huge Divine fans here and we have the Lust in the Dust movie poster proudly on display. Courtney, by the way, was also in Children of the Corn as well. Cult Hero!
Other celebrities who have stopped by include Kat Von D, Kesha, Bruce Vilanch, Andy Richter... and recently TJ Thyne from Bones took another tour with us recently. The first time he brought his mom!
If want to be like the celebrities who have stopped by, come take a tour. We show you good time.
Tragical History Tour: Daily
Helter Skelter: Weekends (special memorial tour on August 8)
The Doors: August 13
Nasty Nellie Oleson with Alison Arngrim: August 20
Marilyn Monroe: September 10 and October 8
Here's an odd artifact we now have in our museum. This is the original lease agreement between the landlord and alleged "Hollywood Ripper" Michael Gargiulo. If you aren't familiar, he allegedly murdered Ashley Ellerin on the night she had a date with Ashton Kutcher. We featured this story on the show Hollywood Death Trip I did a few years ago on the E! Network.
Kutcher peeked in the window when she didn't answer the door and saw "spilled red wine" on the floor. Guess what it wasn't. She was dead for less than half an hour. What happened to Sharon Tate has nothing on what happened to Ellerin. Click the logo below to see the segment.
On that happy note, thank you for your time and your attention.
Love,
Scott and the Dearly Departed Tours Team
