Dear Friend of PST, With Spring in full bloom and your continued and amazing support, everything seems possible! Our first annual St. Paddy's show was met with rave reviews: "A very entertaining evening! I felt like I was in Ireland! A truly remarkable and wonderful show!" We're keeping the momentum going in April with Urban Tellers® on Saturday the 11th. Then on Friday the 17th, our friends at SOLO SPEAK bring Lawrence Howard to Bend to retell The Essex.

The Essex, Friday, April 17, 2015 in Bend, Oregon 7:30 PM
|
The Essex, created and told by Lawrence Howard, is the real, true story of a Nantucket whaling ship that was rammed and sunk by a sperm whale in the middle of the Pacific Ocean in 1820.
This story became the inspiration for Melville's Moby Dick.

Discover your personal story and learn how to craft your narrative using our unique creative method. Led by Portland Story Theater Founders, Lawrence Howard and Lynne Duddy, you will receive over 30 hours of coaching. Each workshop culminates in a show at the Alberta Abbey, where you’ll tell your story before a live audience. Every story is recorded and posted online. But it's the experience of opening your heart voice that is transformative. The April Art of Personal Narrative workshop is full but there's still room in our May and June workshops. Click here to check the dates.
