HAWAIIAN SINGER/SONGWRITER/PERFORMER LANDON MCNAMARA GOES VIRAL WITH HIS GRIPPING, HEART-WRENCHING ANTI-VIOLENCE MUSIC VIDEO, “LOSS FOR WORDS”;
LANDON’S PROCEEDS FROM THE SONG/VIDEO WILL GO DIRECTLY TO FAMILIES DIRECTLY AFFECTED BY THE LAS VEGAS MASS SHOOTING
LOS ANGELES, CA: “Loss For Words” is Hawaiian singer/songwriter/pro surfer/Ford model Landon McNamara’s gripping, heart-wrenching and powerful response to mass shootings/gun violence.
Landon wrote this song the Monday after the Las Vegas tragedy while on a drive to the studio from the North Shore of Oahu, as he and his friend Etienne Aureilius were discussing all the recent violent tragedies happening in the world. They released the video later in the day on YouTube, and it immediately got retweeted and posted (over 25,000 views in the first 24 hours on Instagram) by professional surfers, celebrities, and fans. Now the song is climbing up the charts and the video is trending on the YouTube homepage.
Landon is donating 100% of his portion of the proceeds from iTunes sales of the song to families of the victims affected by the Las Vegas shooting. Logistics are being arranged now.
“My family always taught me to leave a trail of aloha wherever I go on my travels,” he explains. “My music affords me the opportunity to give more. I want to help people; I want to see harmony, peace, and love be the message of my music.”
“Right after we wrote this song, I realized that this is a great opportunity to give to the families affected by the Las Vegas tragedy. My auntie lived in Vegas, and some of her close friends were directly affected by the tragedy."

“Loss For Words” lyrics – Landon McNamara
I'm at a loss for words and my heart it hurts
I'm at a loss for words and my heart it hurts
Things going on in this world, so absurd
Mr. President, tell me what's the word
Selling ammunition to the mentally ill
just to make a penny while innocent get killed
Turned on the news and I heard the sound
From the 32nd floor, gunshots raining down
All those lives lost such a pity just trying to have a good time in Sin City
This ain't the first time but I hope it's the last
And kindergarteners can't feel safe going to class
Want to walk down the street without looking behind my back
As a mag groups through a venue fully packed and blasts
This one’s for Columbine
This one’s for Paris
This one’s for all the lives lost in Las Vegas
This one’s Cali
Miami
This one’s for London and no I’m not done
This one’s for Iraq
Yemen and Saudi
And for Syria and those murdered babies
Mama Africa
And for Hiroshima
And Pearl Harbor and the World Trade Center
For Chicago and Jerusalem
Come on people, put down the guns
This one's for everyone that has lost someone who cannot be brought back with words
I'm at a loss for words and my heart it hurts
I'm at a loss for words and my heart it hurts
I wanna know in their heads what is going on too many situations to fit in one song.
Want to have a good time with my friends in the club without worrying about getting shot while I'm trying to make love
So many now with the man up above, while were all left to clean up the blood
Children left with no parents, parents left with no children
And when you really break it down it's all for no reason
I don't got all the answers so tell me who dose
All I really know is we really need love
I don't got all the answers so tell me who dose
All I really know is you really need love
This one’s for Columbine
This one’s for Paris
This one’s for all the lives lost in Las Vegas
This one’s Cali
Miami
This one’s for London and no I’m not done
This one’s for Iraq
Yemen and Saudi
And for Syria and those murdered babies
Mama Africa
And for Hiroshima
And Pearl Harbor and the World Trade Center
For Chicago and Jerusalem
Come on people, put down the guns
This one's for everyone that has lost someone who cannot be brought back with words
Lives of the land from sea to sea, we all share the same blood and there's no need to bleed
At the hands of another man, but I understand if it’s self-defense
But there'll be no reason to defend if we could all live as one and join hands
I'm at a loss for words and my heart it hurts
I'm at a loss for words and my heart it hurts
