Christine Simmonds-Moore, PhD
Exploring Execeptional Experiences &
the Psychic Personality
Fri., May 2 at 7 pm EST
Christine Simmonds-Moore shares her journey in parapsychology and the role the Rhine Research Center played in inspiring and nurturing that journey.  It started with education through the Rhine Summer Study Program when she was first starting her doctoral work and continued with her time as an invited researcher at the Rhine. She has since joined the University of West Georgia as a professor of psychology who focuses on exceptional experiences and mentors numerous graduate students in their studies. Dr. Simmonds-Moore will discuss research that has explored the psychic personality type including various correlates of psychic experiences and what they can tell us about psi phenomena.

Dr. Simmonds-Moore is a professor of psychology at the University of West Georgia and co-founder of the Rhine Education Center. Originally from the UK, she earned her Ph.D. from the University of Northampton, focusing on schizotypy and anomalous experiences. Her research explores the psychology of paranormal and transpersonal experiences, including ASMR, interoception, and aphantasia. She is currently collaborating with John Kruth on a study funded by the Bial foundation which explores the relationship between aphantasia and psi experiences. Christine has led and contributed to numerous funded research projects and is the editor of Exceptional Experience and Health and co-author of a textbook on anomalistic psychology.
