Our Chitalba trees and Desert Willow trees are in bloom Now!!
We started several years ago learning how to propagate these trees because they are so well adapted to our dry growing conditions in central Oklahoma. They start blooming normally in mid to late May and continue in cycles until frost. they will need little or no water once you get past the first year of planting. Your neighbors will be asking you what they are. They grow in full sun. find these trees in green houses one and three. We have three colors of Desert Willows and two colors of Chitalbas,
We have hundreds of Asclepias Tuberosa or the Orange Butterfly Weed
This is the plant that the Monarch butterfly lives on . this is a sun loving plant and once established, it is very drought tolerant. Find some of these plants in the front of green house number two!!! See image below :
Althea or Rose of Sharon
We grow several varieties of double flowering Althea or rose of Sharon. These flowering shrubs start flowering in June and contin ue until frost. They are very drought tolerant and can grow 5 to 10 ft. tall and make a great focal plant. Find them in green house number three.
Hydrangeas
We grow many varieties of hydrangeas for both full sun or partial shade. We grow all these plants in our number 5 greenhouse that we just finished rebuilding. They are separated as to how much sun they will tolerate so it is easy to pick out what you want.
Peonies
We have moved a couple hundred two gallon containers into green house no. two, and put the images and prices on them. They are ready for you to look them over. There are around 20 varieties to chose from.
Plant peonies in the full sun in any garden soil. If you have any, add some compost under the plant. The eyes of the peony should be about one inch under the surface of the ground,

Coreopsis
We grow several varieties of this plant. They bloom in cycles all summer long. they are perennials and normally live for years. Find these plants in green house number two:
Kniphofia or red hot pokers
These are full sun plants that do not need much water to thrive! We have them in two colors, red and yellow and solid yellow. Find both colors in green house number two.
Cone Flowers or Echinacea
We have three varieties of echinacea available in green house number three. They are a sun plants with a very long bloom time.
Japanese red leaf maples
We are carrying these for the first time in several years. They are beautiful but need filtered sun or afternoon shade for best results. Find this item in green house no. 2 and 3 house.
Phlox
We grow several varieties of garden phlox. We have tested most of them in our display gardens and they have all come back several years in our gardens. They all grow in full sun and they all attract butterflies. Find them in green house number two on the north wall.
Scuttleria
This is a desert plant that will bloom in cycles all summer long. It grows in full sun and only gets around 12 inches tall and then it spreads out. Makes a great border plan or a stand alone plant. We grow two colors, pink and purple. Find them on the south wall of green house number two.
Cactus, yuccas, chollas and other desert plants
I think grow one of the best collections of these plants in central Oklahoma. Find them in front of green house number three.
We want to remind everyone to bring any unwanted containers to the nursery any time you are out this way. Set them off at the parking sign and we will move them. We recycle them over and over and it helps hold our prices down.
Grass Sod
We have been cutting grass sod for over a month now. We cut it fresh, right after you come out and pay for it. So if you need a few rolls or a few thousand square feet, we cut Friday and Sat. between 8:30 and 1 om, We might can cut other days if you call in advance. Our sod cost much less than you will pay for at a box store.
