About Paula
An accomplished attorney with judicial experience, Paula Rosales has been a vocal and
effective fighter to level the playing field in our court system to protect the rights of all.
As a human rights advisor for the US State Department, Paula trained prosecutors, state
officials and law enforcement investigating and prosecuting human rights violations.
Standing up for voting rights, Paula chaired the Dallas Redistricting Taskforce Legal Action
Committee, providing nearly 250 hours of pro bono legal service to file a counter-request with
the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice.
As an Assistant District Attorney, she fought for justice for victims of crime on a broad
range of cases before various trial and appellate courts.
And as the Presiding Judge for the City of Dallas Municipal Courts, Paula Rosales
reformed court procedures for defendants with mental health issues and spearheaded
the Fresh Start Docket, a multi-organizational effort to fill-in identified gaps in
our community’s justice system.
In private practice, as an attorney for Miller Weisbrod LLP, and in the community
Paula has continued fighting to ensure everyone has a voice. Paula has been
on the ground registering hundreds of voters with Southwest Voter Registration
Education Project, coached high schools in mock trials at DISD’s Irma Rangel
