April 2017

April, come she will. You know what I am talking about.

Well look at that. I am back with my tail between my legs. You are the very first people to see my poster image for this year's Edinburgh Fringe. It's the 30th anniversary of my first appearance, my 40th Edinburgh show and my 50th birthday. I am going to be on at the Pleasance 1 at 7.30pm, so make a note in your diaries if you're coming up this year. It can't go as badly as 2014, right? Right?

Please don't share this picture around just yet.

Here's what's happening before that

The Best
Over halfway through this tour now and it's been going down really well, despite walk outs in Chipping Norton and a man with a laugh like a kookaburra in Liverpool. So far I haven't broken my resolution to sell over 100 tickets at every show (or 100% of tickets if venue is smaller than that). But Radlett looks intent on screwing that up for me.... So if you have friends in Radlett... ooo lah-di-dah, get you!

But here are the March gigs
March
30th Maidstone Use code: HAZRH20 for 20% off tickets
31st Winchester (SOLD OUT - check with venue for returns)

April
27th Reading Hexagon - if I can find a snooker board I will be playing a frame of Me1 vs Me2 snooker on stage during the interval.
28th Exeter
30th Swindon

Still plenty of dates in May, so check the webpage for details. And we've added 3 more gigs in London in June.

We are not planning to record a DVD of this show, so come and see it LIVE!

AIOTM
We are working our way slowly towards getting the video show ready. Our plan is to release the first two or three by the end of the month on the secret channel for kickstarters and subscribers. These will be the longer versions of the show with material that will not be available on the free version. Plus bloopers, cut material and back stage stuff to boot.
If you want to be amongst the pioneers who view this stuff first then simply pay £15 here. You will get all the episodes first and loads of extras and also be helping us to pay the final bills of this optimistically budgeted series.

Everything Happens For No Reason
The taster tape is all finished and now with the Channel 4 bosses. I hope we will have an answer one way or the other by the end of the month. I am very pleased with how it's turned out and will be annoyed if this is one of the infinite Universes where it is never commissioned.

Relativity
I had a fine old time recording the four episodes of this Radio 4 sitcom in March. And having to do hasty extra bits of writing as the scripts all came in short. We had an amazing cast including Phil Davis, Alison Steadman and Emily Berrington from off of Humans (yes, we had the conversation). If it is as much fun to listen to as it was to record then you're in for a treat. It is now scheduled for September, not June as previously reported.

RHLSTP
The new series of RHLSTP will start in June. Tickets are on sale, so book now. No on booked yet, but monthly badgers will hear about who is on before anyone else.
We've just put up the final bonus RHMOL interview with Aleks Krotoski.
You can watch the series on video on Youtube
(also vimeo and iTunes)
Or listen at the British Comedy Guide

I will also be recording a bonus RHLSTP at the Wells Comedy Festival in May.

The RHLSTP kickstarter emergeny questions book is off to the printers this week and I hope will be with you before the end of May.

Oh Frig, I'm 50!
I will be previewing the spit out of this from June, so keep an eye on my gig guide for details. These will mainly be in and around London, but also include Wells, York, Newcastle, Luton, Hitchin, St Albans and more.

Thanks to all those of you who followed my tweets on International Women's Day and even more to those of you who donated to Refuge, who raised over £10,000 more than usual on that day.
