On Friday, April 19, the Community Center for the Performing Arts proudly hosts the 4th Annual Itchy Fest Presented by Itchy Ribs and featuring The Athiarchists plus special guests The Procrastinators, Mine the Fold, Boom Chick, Sweater for an Astronaut, Back in the Dark, Free Beard, Ausekara, Za Boi Da Fuk Gawd and Only Nightmares.

Drummer Dano and guitarist/vocalist Aaron Tunnell are the two-piece madness that is The Athiarchists. The band formed on April 20, 2006, and became popular locally with their DIY attitude, exposure on KFLY Radio, and the release of their raw tour footage known as “Athiarchist TV”. Even more of a buzz got started when they began randomly showing up at major festivals and raging it in the parking lot in their homemade mobile stage. The Music Adventure Stage is an overhauled U-haul with a 12,500-watt generator, full PA, stage lighting, gear storage and sleeping bunks. They played the parking lot at events such as the Van’s Warped Tour, Jagermeister Music Tour, and three years of Rockstar Mayhem tours before finally getting official permission to play the entire tour -- after staunch support from the other bands and people with shirts and picket signs that read, “I support the Athiarchists – Let Them Play!” Their sound is a violent blend of Punk, Metal, and a new breed of Thrash; their music itself defies definition. The energy and passion released from this twosome has made them one of the most sought after bands in North America.
Itchy Ribs is a recreational marijuana joint company; they have been putting on Itchy Fest around 4/20 and this will be the fourth year. It has never been on 4/20, usually always a day or two after. This will be the second consecutive year at the WOW Hall.
Tickets are $4 in advance, $5 day of show, and are available at U. of O. Ticket Office, WOW Hall and www.ticketweb.com. Doors open at 5:30 pm and showtime is 6:00. The WOW Hall is located at 291 W. 8th Ave. (the corner of 8th and Lincoln in Eugene) and is open for all ages (6-11 half price at the door when accompanied by parent or adult guardian; five and under no charge). Adult refreshments are available downstairs. For more information please call 541-687-2746.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE STOP: 4/21/2019
On Saturday, April 20, Afterlife Music Collective x ILLFadedNetwork present The ILLFaded Afterlife 4.20 Bash -- a night of EDM at the WOW Hall featuring DVRE B2B WHYPLVSH, TWISTXR, YUNG WUB, SNOOZE, HOFFA AND SVGA.
Reigning from the untouched city of producers, Seattle, DVRE has developed a unique sound through bass heavy oriented music. His live performances are very heavy and consist of crazy, unanticipated doubles and triples. After sharing the stage with artists such as Ponicz, Slimez, Martz, Rekoils and Dion Timmer within a short span of a year, DVRE has quickly gained traction in a high demand industry.
Whyplvsh is a 21 year old producer based out of Los Angeles. This is his first time returning to Eugene to play a show after leaving the University of Oregon. After spending a year working on music he is finally ready for 2019 to be the year he starts turning heads and showing what he can do. If you like a combination of melodic music with soul crushing bass this is def an artist for you.
TWISTXR is from Eugene.
YUNG WUB is from Seattle.
Plus SNOOZE, HOFFA and SVGA.

On Thursday, April 25, the Community Center for the Performing Arts in association with Ninkasi Brewery & Recording Studio and EventStar Productions proudly host Eugene LIVE! – A Night of FunkN’ Friends at the WOW Hall featuring performances by Doink!, Laundry, Echo Base and Flipside.
DOINK! is a Eugenian power trio that stretches the limits of rock, hip-hop and jazz within a sick-jamz-only ethos. Their musical approach is unabashedly fun and interactive, “with no room for dull moments as we collectively ride the never-ending Doink!onomic™ J curve of Doink!coin™.” Their debut album Doink!onomics is available on doinkcoin.bandcamp.com.
Laundry is a four-piece funk/punk band from Eugene. They met last year in the residence hall for musicians at the University of Oregon. With two West Coast tours under their belt, they're preparing to release their second studio album, Affirmation, in April. Band members are Cal Fenner (bass), Nik Barber (drums), Kiki Paroissien (guitar) and Riley Somers (guitar).
Created in 2016, Echo Base writes complex compositions inspired by the depth and beauty of nature, both human and environmental. Their self-titled, debut EP provides just enough weird to keep you guessing, with enough groove to keep you moving! Band members are: Alex Weston (guitar, vocals), Sean Bethem (bass), Zeviel Kamrat (guitar, vocals) and Sam Fox Hayward (drums).
Flipside is a Eugene band comprised of Funk Jam All-Stars. This crew honed their set with a weekly jam at the Hi-Fi Music Hall and includes veteran PNW musicians from bands such as Eleven Eyes, Reeble Jar, Candy Apple Bleu, Marv Ellis and We Tribe.
Tickets are $8 in advance, $10 day of show, and are available at U. of O. Ticket Office, WOW Hall and www.ticketweb.com. Doors open at 8:00 pm and showtime is 8:30.
