Dear friends and neighbors:
I totally forgot to include a great event that is a first for Hoboken!
Going on right now until 6pm at the Elks at 1005 Washington!  Hoboken welcomes the first ever Diwali celebration!  I just went and it was wonderful!  Learn about India's Festival of Lights, have some delicious Indian Food (I just finished by Chicken Biryani) and sweets, have your hands henna'd and have some fun pictures taken!  There is something for everyone including children!
ICYMI, the Veterans Day Ceremony this morning in Elysian Park was lovely.  Thank you to everyone who came out to pay tribute to our veterans, it was the biggest crowd we have had.  For those who could not make it, mark your calendar for next year - its easy, November 11th at 11:00 am.  (11/11 at 11).  It is one of our most special events in Hoboken.  Here are a couple pictures from the event.
Hoboken's Vinny Wassman reciting Flanders Field.  Right of Vinny is Mark Villamar, Finance Officer and John Carey, Commander of Hoboken's American Legion Post 107.
A full house at Elysian Park to honor our veterans.

Enjoy the rest of this beautiful Sunday!  And thank a veteran today!
