Find Your Inner Musician and More
Unlock your creativity or reignite your artistic passion. We’ve just announced a big slice of #ourNFF’s participatory program and it’s a beauty!
For musicians, there’s no better way to hone your craft than by participating in the Pre-Festival Master Classes and we are offering eight of these in which to immerse yourself (see more information below).
Fancy 2017 as your year for getting out on the dance floor? Our dynamic dance program includes everything from electro trad with Québec’s Melisande, Afro dance moves with Ghana’s Bortier Okoe and all our regular dance events from Scandinavian to Scottish and more.
Poet’s Breakfasts, Live Slam events, cabaret shows, the popular Versus series and special events will keep lovers of spoken word engaged.
Visit our Community Arts area for a range of creative arts workshops. From Hula Hoop making and Jewellery to Bookbinding or learning to make a Cabbage Tree Hat, you'll find our creative heart a very special place to spend time. And you can also make your mark on the festival mural, contribute to our magical lantern parade or make a gorgeous piece of art to take home.

Stay up late and jam into the night at our world famous Session Bar or discover the wild world of circus when you participate in the Circus Deathmatch Training Ground.
Our streets will be alive with the colour, sounds, sights and food aromas of the festival with a myriad of food stalls, markets and blackboard cafes. Chance upon pop-up acapella street choirs or be part of the DIY orchestras, uke musters, fiddle rallies and the many community sessions and activities available throughout the Easter weekend. There's so much to do, see and hear. You'll experience some wonderful music at the Nash in 2017 so don't miss a moment. Just Be There!
