This month's featured teacher is Charles Valente from LSI Toronto. Charles has been teaching for over 20 years, and he has been at LSI Toronto since 1999. He has taught all the levels ranging from Elementary to Advanced, and is also one of LSI Toronto's Cambridge teachers. He is well known for his teaching style, creativity, love of squash, "chunking" of English words, and his funny speeches during graduation time.
He became interested in teaching when his high school guidance counsellor suggested it as a career option.
That's what he became and he has stated that it's a choice he has never regretted. Charles said, "My career path has been incredibly rewarding for me on a personal level. When I think that going to work means spending time with motivated, knowledgeable students and colleagues from a variety of backgrounds and places, I feel very lucky."
At LSI Toronto, we feel very fortunate to have him as part of our staff.
