THE ANDREW COLLINS NEWSLETTER - September 2019

Hi, everyone ... I hope this e-newsletter finds you well.

Sorry not been in touch for a while. Life has changed somewhat! Plus I having been working on three tours for next year with the Ancient Origins people to Egypt, Britain and Turkey. So watch out for details of these. Below I have listed everything that is going on in the next few months, beginning of course with the publication this week of new book Denisovan Origins: Hybrid Humans, Gobekli Tepe and the Genesis of the Giants of Ancient America, co-authored by Greg L. Little and myself. Already it has been #1 in several categories on Amazon and this week Graham Hancock put out a great post on social media all about the book. He has really supported this project, which is great, providing also a testimonial, part of which is seen on the final version of the cover (see below).

I was able to include in the book all the latest discoveries regarding the Denisovans up to and including the discovery of the Denisovan skull fragments in the Denisova Cave in Siberia as well as confirmation of the finding of a Denisovan lower jawbone (mandible), found as early as 1980 in a cave on the edge of the Tibetan plateau in northwestern China. What I didn't manage to include is the fact that archaeologists working on a 45,000 year old site south of Lake Baikal in northern Mongolia have found hundreds of stone tools that they believe might well have been made either by Denisovans or by modern modern under the influence of Denisovans. This is incredibly important since it was this type of stone tool - described as blade tool technology - which thereafter features in the tool kit of modern humans right the way down to the age of Gobekli Tepe. In fact, the advance of this type of tool westwards into both Europe and southwestern Asia becomes, as I originally wrote in The Cygnus Key, one of the keys to understanding who built Gobekli Tepe. You can see a chain of human activity that begins as far west as western Siberia and the Ural Mountains and comes to fruition with the establishment of the Pre-Pottery Neolithic world of Gobekli Tepe. It is a matter featured again in Denisovan Origins, which covers a wide variety of related topics.

Solutreans were depicted as Mongolians in the nineteeth century. Although the idea was later dismissed, I suspect that this hypothesis was closer to the truth than anyone could ever have understood at the time.

There is a lot by me in the first half of the book on the Solutreans, a culture that has been virtually vilified in archaeology since the early part of the twentieth century. Not helping the situation is the reaction today to the theory that the Solutreans reached North America as early as 20,000 years ago. Most of our contemporaries won't even touch this subject. However, the archaeological and genetic evidence does support the idea that Solutreans did indeed reach the Chesapeake Bay, where a number of beautiful leaf-shaped points have been found that match almost exactly the style of the Solutreans (one even being made of a type of stone only found in France).

One big reveal in the book is that the Solutreans were almost certainly of North Asian origin, their ancestors having migrated westwards in waves between around 30,000-25,000 years ago. This was also speculated upon as early as the late nineteenth century, but prehistorians were so abhorred by the idea that some of our European ancestors could have been "Mongolian" that the Solutreans were shunned, their achievements attributed either to earlier or later cultures, such as the Magdalenians. This whole story, and even how it still effects archaeology today, is outlined in the book.

The Solutreans' role in this story has a very strong link with the idea that the Denisovans created blade tool technology, which was thereafter carried from Siberia and Mongolia across the Ural Mountains into Europe where it was adopted initially by the culture known as the Eastern Gravettians, and then later by their descendants, the Solutreans and Swiderians.

Anyway, we bring out the entire story in Denisovan Origins.

Greg and I feature as authors of the month on the Graham Hancock website for October. Watch out for that.

ANCIENT ALIENS

I have continued to feature regularly on the hit TV show Ancient Aliens. One episode recently was entitled "The Constellation Code." It centers upon the mystery of the Glastonbury zodiac and what it might mean for our relationship to the cosmos. Aside from interviews with both myself and my colleague Paul Weston, the programme briefly mentions my own quest to understand the Glastonbury zodiac back in the 1980s (complete with a picture of me from 1985 with the Meonia Sword). There are nods in the show also to earth mysteries researcher Tony Roberts as well as original ancient alien writer Brinsley Le Pour Trench. His book The Sky People, published in 1960 (eight years before Erich von Daniken's Chariots of the Gods), featuring links between the Glastonbury Zodiac and UFOs. I was also happy to see the episode tackle the concept that quantum entanglement, suggesting through my words that it could be at the root of communication with non-terrestrial intelligences. This is then picked up on and explained by astrophysicist Travis Taylor. I think it is very important that this idea has been given some exposure since I feel it is crucial to our understanding of such communications. Anyway, watch the entire episode at your leisure here.

WISDOMKEEPERS OF STONEHENGE

Watch out for another episode coming up soon with Graham Phillips and myself exploring the origins of Britain's megalithic culture on the Orkney Mainland in northern Scotland. As you can imagine, Graham and I were having field day up there bouncing ideas off each other, solving the mysteries of the universe in a manner we have done since 1979! This time all to camera! If this episode is edited properly it could turn out to be one of the best Ancient Aliens episodes ever. Indeed, there is every chance it is going to blow people's minds. For instance, I am suggesting that Orkney's megalithic culture, known officially as the Grooved Wate culture, expanded out of Orkney setting up new ceremonial complexes at sites across Britain that were known already for the appearance of mysterious orbs of light as well as other types of strange phenomena. Graham, on the other hand, expounds his belief that the megalithic culture created the stone circles as time clocks using the sun, moon and stars to predict the time most suitable to either plant or pick plants with important medicinal properties, the theme of his excellent new book Wisdomkeepers of Stonehenge.

THE GREEN STONE 40 BASH

The Green Stone 40th anniversary event is nearing. The Sunday trip out to all the key sites of the Green Stone has sold out. However, there are still seats available for the Saturday conference, which features presentations on psychic questing by myself, Graham Phillips, Debbie Cartwright, Richard Ward, Caroline Wise, Paul Weston, Lynn Picknett and Clive Prince. Clearly both Graham Phillips and I will speak about the Green Stone story. However, there will be much more from us and from the other lecturers. I will attempt to show how successful psychic quests actually work, giving as examples the Green Stone story itself, along with our Orkney quest from 2018, and the fruits of a brand new psychic quest played out in central and northern Wales by the usual team in August this year. This resulted in the discovery of a very special artefact indeed, along with the occurrence of some very unusual phenomena indeed.

Anyway, go now to here for ticket registration and further info.
Before that, however, I shall delivering keynote presentations at two major conferences. The first is CPAK in Newport Beach, California, on Octover 04/06 and the other is Edgar Cayce's ARE Ancient Mysteries Conference in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Oct 10/13. See below for all details and more.

Andrew's lecture will be as follows:

THE GENESIS OF COSMOLOGY - A LEGACY OF THE DENISOVANS?

Who built Göbekli Tepe, and when and why was it constructed? Andrew Collins - author of the seminal work Göbekli Tepe: Genesis of the Gods - conjures a picture of the genesis of Göbekli Tepe in 9600 BCE, explaining its suspected function as a shamanic point of access to a sky world built in response to the terrifying events of the Younger Dryas comet impact event. Yet who built Göbekli Tepe will be a much longer road to travel - one that begins much farther east in what is today Siberia and Mongolia at the time of humanity's first encounters with the mysterious form of archaic human known today as the Denisovans. Andrew introduces the extraordinarily advanced world of the Denisovans, which included beautiful jewellery, tailored clothing, musical instruments, suspected horse domestication, and, most crucially, the development of a unique stone tool technology that emerges for the first time around 45,000 years ago and will come to define the Upper Paleolithic tool kit right down the age of Göbekli Tepe. Beyond this, Andrew speculates on the unique and possibly autistic mindset of the Denisovans, and demonstrates how they might well have been responsible for humanity's obsession with cyclic time and a common death journey involving the stars of Orion, the Pleaides and the Cygnus constellation.

It will be a form of this lecture that Andrew will deliver at all ancient mysteries conferences, complete, of course, with any new developments on the discovery of the Denisovans.
