On 16 June Connie Hedegaard, the  European Commissioner for Climate Action, visited Bulgaria. She pointed out that Europe pays colossal amount of EUR 1 billion per day for an import of fossil fuels and the big potential of the Bulgarian energy systems is  the energy efficiency.
The 2030 policy framework for climate and energy proposed by the European Commission aims to make the European Union's economy and energy system more competitive, secure and sustainable.
In recent years South-East Europe has made significant progress in energy sector. Serbia has a free electricity market.
Undoubtedly, resource efficiency, energy intensity, independence and security, carbon footprint - these will be the key factors that have influenced the choice of technologies, policies and practices.
"Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy" Exhibition and Forum will be held from 11th to 13th March 2015 in Bulgaria. We have already started the event preparation and open Early Bird Registration till 1st October.
