The Art of Personal Narrative
Maybe you've been thinking that you'd really like to do this. Take this workshop. Tell your story. Be heard. Well, this is your last chance to tell at Hipbone Studio. Because we're moving. So call today: 503-284-2226 Don't wait. The only real prerequisite is to come to an Urban Tellers® show before your take this workshop. Check out our web site for all of the workshop dates. Next one starts on Monday, June 16th at 7 PM at our studio in the Story House located in NE Portland near Fremont Street and 15th Avenue.

We know that you come time and again to hear the true stories told at Portland Story Theater because it makes you feel connected, real, a part of something greater than yourself. We share a passion for this art form, this connection to each other.
Our move to the Alberta Abbey is exciting and wonderful but it is also a quantum leap of faith. We want to fully realize the potential. Small contributions can make a mighty difference.
Would you be so kind as to help us out? [Click here to make a tax-deductible donation today.] It could be either a one-time donation, or consider joining our monthly supporters --- people like Judy McClean, Linda Wenning, and Nina Buckley --- people who give something every month to keep us going and growing. It means so much... Thank you!
New York, New York!
We want to give you a heads up. Later this summer, we'll be performing in New York City at a new storytelling event at theOpen Source Gallery and also as part of the one-year anniversary celebration of Bady House Story Concerts (BHSC #12)! Stay tuned...
Certainly our intention creates our reality, while random events can change everything... like a love letter opened too late or that long-lost love object found in the street or sex on a sheepskin. Come. Connect. Surrender to the quiet addiction that is Urban Tellers®. Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Hipbone Studio. Featuring Lena Moon, Cole Struhar, Lilly Harris, Gina Starling, Denna Vandersloot, and Angie Martorana

September marks our move to Alberta Abbey!
It's our 10th Anniversary this September, and all of our shows will be in our new home, the Alberta Abbey, just two blocks west of MLK at 126 NE Alberta AvenueAlberta Abbey, home to Portland Story Theater

This place has it all: fabulously comfortable
seats  (no more folding chairs!),
off-street parking, ADA accessibility, capacity for more than 300, and a beautiful adjoining lounge area where we can serve beer, and excellent wine from Hip Chicks Do Wine.

But the best part is that the Alberta Abbey and Portland Story Theater are joining forces to build a vibrant performance space together. It's going to be great and you're going to be a part of it all as the story continues at the Alberta Abbey!

This fall, we are taking our Urban Tellers® program and our workshop series, The Art of Personal Narrative, out to Hood River in partnership with the Columbia Center for the Arts! Plus there are plans in the works to bring the Armchair Adventurer back to Bend in 2015 as part of the Solo Speak Series.
