NEWS FOR CAT LOVERS
Dr. Jones just updated his book, Veterinary Secrets
Revealed (2nd edition) and is holding a special webinar
on May 23 to discuss all the new information on pet care.
It's free, so sign up here to get in:
If you cannot attend, go ahead and register anyway, as
you will be able to download a recording of the webinar
afterward. It will only be free for those who register,
and only for a few days.
CAT FOOD NEWS
Thanks to Karen for this link. You really need to read this:
If you want to keep up with the recalls, here are
some sites to watch:
This one is not about contamination, but about a thiamine
deficiency. Also note there is a typo in the URL. Don't try
to correct it.
If you would like to see my latest report about the recent
recalls, you can download or just view it here:
Help Feed Shelter Animals
Don't forget to visit these sites as often as you can and
click on the shelter-feed links. There is no cost to you
to do this.

even a wrong answer gives a donation.)
WEB SITES to explore
This month's links will all be about petfood.
1. Tainted pet food makes owners sick: http://ow.ly/aW0Hj
2. Making petfood at home: http://www.drharveys.com
3. Click on the Cats link: http://www.evangersdogfood.com
I just ordered some cat food from Evangers, but they only have
one formula. I will let you know if my cats like it.
4. Test kits for salmonella: $19.95
I'm going to test the petfood I have that's on the recall list. I hate
to waste it, even if it costs me twenty bucks to get it tested. I'll
let you know what I find out!
A SMILE FOR YOU
Check out the video on my website, at the top of
the page. Cute kitten and a basketball!
TAKE ACTION TO HELP ANIMALS IN NEED
How to help animals:
Help feed the ones that never got adopted.
2. Always remember to check with your local shelter
to see what they need. Your donation will go directly
to the animals, in sharp contrast to some of the large
national groups, whose donation income goes toward
large administrative salaries and other expenses, not
necessarily for animals.
Watch for your next issue of The Kitty Times in 2 weeks!
