It's a busy week here at Pipe HQ as Martyn's UK Tour starts tomorrow and his brand new "1960 Acoustic" album, with bonus DVD, is now in stock in the online shop, and will also be available at all shows.
UK Tour starts this week
Martyn's UK tour kicks off this week, with some shows already sold out. His first show is in his homeland, at Cardigan's Mwldan, followed by Neath Little Theatre, then moving to the West Country for a SOLD OUT show in Topsham near Exeter, and wrapping up the weekend at The Acorn in Penzance.
Next week he heads over for another SOLD OUT show in Reading, and then onto Petersfield in Hampshire, Aylsham near Norwich and Hitchin in Hertfordshire. The following weeks take him over to Belfast in Northern Ireland, up into Scotland to Glasgow's CCA and shows across all corners of England.
This year celebrates Martyn's 40th year in the business, and the shows will reflect this with some exciting surprises! Full details of all shows are below, so do get your tickets in advance and don't risk missing out.
1960 Acoustic in stock now
This week we took delivery of Martyn's brand new CD/DVD "1960 Acoustic". Martyn has recorded brand new acoustic versions of all the tracks from "1960", including the extremely popular twelve string acoustic version of “Under Every Smile”, combined with the instrumental “12”. There are also 2 bonus tracks, “Wichita Lineman” and “Contradictions”, plus Martyn's personal notes on all the tracks, and sleeve notes by Martin Wroe.
The CD comes in a double package with a special bonus DVD of the full, almost 2 hour, concert recorded live at The Rogue Folk Club in Vancouver in April 2022 so is a very special package. (The DVD format is region free)
All pre-orders have now been sent out, so click HERE to order your copy, or alternatively, copies will be available at all upcoming shows. This special edition album won't be available through retail outlets, only directly from Pipe Records, however, the audio album will be available on all digital platforms at the end of November.
