Is there a connection between Remote Viewing and UFOs?

How do we explore unusual and unexplained events?  Remote Viewers often apply their practice to gather information about phenomena that can be difficult to observe directly. How is this done, and how effective is this technique?

Paul H. Smith, PhD will explore the connections between remote viewing and UFOs in this interesting and unusual presentation from the Rhine Research Center.

To misquote Winston Churchill, in an attempt to explain an enigma by calling on a mystery, enthusiasts have eagerly embraced remote viewing as a tool to explore the UFO/UAP phenomenon. This has led to many bizarre claims and linkages. Yet there is a core of plausibility to this approach. Part documentation and part speculation, this talk traces some of the early connections of remote viewing to Ufology and how it has developed over time.

Biographical Information

Paul H. Smith is the longest serving controlled remote viewing (CRV)* teacher active today, having begun his career as an instructor in 1984. He served for seven years in the government’s Star Gate remote viewing program at Ft. Meade, MD (from September 1983 to August 1990). Starting in 1984, he became one of only five Star Gate personnel to be personally trained as remote viewers by the legendary founders of remote viewing, Ingo Swann and Dr. Harold E. Puthoff at SRI-International.

Paul’s book, Reading the Enemy’s Mind: Inside Star Gate — America’s Psychic Espionage Program (Tor/Forge 2005/2006) was chosen as the Book Bonus Feature and Editor’s Choice for the March 2006 issue of Readers Digest. He is also author of “The Essential Guide to Remote Viewing: The Secret Military Remote Perception Skill Anyone Can Learn,” and co-producer of the widely-praised LearnDowsing DVD training set and the “Remote Perception: Basic Operational Training” home-study course.
