Who could have guessed that after that horrific 0-4 start, the Bills would be at .500 and only one game out of playoff contention in the ultra-competitive AFC? Well, with a win over the Browns on Sunday, the Bills would be 7-6 and right in the thick of things. Can you believe the last time the Bills and Browns met was in 1995?
Kickoff on Sunday is at 1 pm. There is no local TV coverage since the Patriots are at home, playing at the same time, so come on down to the Harp.
The weekly press release can be found at:
A few items of business:
1.) Bills Backers membership cards are available for most new members. If we have a card for you, you should have received an email from Jeff. Please pick up your cards at the Harp over the next couple of weeks.
2.) We're running low on t-shirts, but we do have plenty of the Bills Backers pint glasses available for purchase at the Harp. They make great gifts!
3.) Apologies to anyone who was looking for last week's press release, we had temporary difficulties getting to the web server. Here it is:
4.) If you are going to be in Buffalo for New Years and don't have tickets to the Steelers game on January 2, you can save $2 per ticket and receive a Bills Power Towel with every ticket purchased. This is a special offer for Bills Backers only. To order your tickets by phone, call Chris Costanzo at the Buffalo Bills toll free at 1-877-BB-TICKS x 8912 and mention promo code "GPBB".
5.) Finally, a request for help from a Buffalo-based Bills fan. Ken Duke collects game-day programs and would like to obtain two programs that he would purchase from the Patriots Pro Shop - unfortunately, they won't mail them. If any of our members in the Foxboro area could help Ken by stopping by the stadium and picking up and mailng his merchandise, please contact him at firstname.lastname@example.org. He would, of course, pay all expenses.
See you on Sunday... Go Bills!
