The Balance Series -
Lesson 1
Family First
Family Ministry

(a) Ministry is important, but because good ministry should produce solid family, believers have an obligation from God to never put their ministry above their family. Eph. 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

(b) Men in our society measure themselves by the job they have, the car they drive, and the money they possess. But God measures men and women by their commitment to him and to the next generation. God is a father and an example of how to care for family, and so if we are to be like him, we should successfully protect, provide for, and minister to our families first before we ever go out and pursue greater ministry responsibilities. 1Tim. 6:5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. But godliness with contentment is great gain.

(c) God created the family first to bring glory to himself. Because God is the ministry and the ministry is not ours personally, we owe it to him to bring him glory through the family first, instead of through our ministry first. Gen. 5:2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

G. Craige Lewis of EX Ministries brings a rare and timely message of the importance of a father’s role in the home.  If the father is absent, the enemy will have free reign to take women and children captive, which is the present state of our culture.  G. Craige Lewis calls every man, young and old, to take their rightful place as provider, protector and priest of their homes.  This video is not just for men, but with proper application, it will be a blessing to your household for many generations to come.  Are you ready to stand up and fight for your homes, God’s way? Click here to get your copy now!
