Sustainable waste management is one of the main challenges in the countries of SE Europe. Taking into consideration the Europe's striving towards green economy, the Region has to implement recycling technologies, projects for waste-to-energy plants that meet regulatory requirements, for closure and recultivation of old municipal landfills, as well as building new regional waste management systems.
The focus of the forthcoming seeSUSTAINtec will be on the advanced solutions for waste management (7-9, April 2020, Sofia, Bulgaria). The exhibition and conference will welcome leading companies and associations to show and discuss the perspectives. Energy efficiency & RES, smart cities and air quality will be the other accents.

We are glad to announce some of our participants.

Fimic extends its market position
Interview with Erica Canaia, Sales Director

Dear Mrs Canaia, why did you decide to participate in seeSUSTAINtec? To be able to establish our presence on the Bulgarian and its closest countries’ market.
What solutions will you present? In addition to our known products as the RAS self cleaning Filter and the ERA, double filtration in one machine, we are also going to present the TEN, an innovative band filter.

Tell us more about the benefits of implementing these solutions in practice and which areas do they apply in? Our equipment can be installed on new lines, but can also be retrofitted on an existing line. The advantages are many, starting from an automated, free of personnel operation, going to a big saving in spare parts. Maintenance is also very easy and fast. More

'During seeSUSTAINtec in Sofia we will have very dynamic meetings, with the goal to form ISWA national member in Bulgaria'
Dr. Goran Vujić, ISWA Board Member, speaks on the challenges and potential of the SEE environmental market

Dear prof. Vujić, could you present in brief the main targets and activities of the ISWA Regional Development Network SEMEM?
The recent changes of the ISWA Statute and Internal Regulations enabled more dynamic and transparent work in all segments of ISWA. This motivated national members from South East Europe (SEE) to launch the Regional Chapter SEE+ which includes SEE and its neighboring countries. The Regional Chapter is a form of association, that will enable stronger linkages of coordination and cooperation between national members. More
