We hope you’re having a good term, and that all is going well for those of you with pupils sitting exams this summer.
Your chance to input into the development of the GLP website
The GLP website is regularly reviewed and updated to make it as accessible as possible for you and your network. To help us ensure that we’re providing the GLP information and materials in the best possible way, please can we ask that you spend a couple of minutes answering a few questions in our online survey

GLP shines through in Global Educator of the Year Award for 2015
Sophy Silverstein and Cordelia Cooper from Granton Primary School in London, and Roz Artist from Cherry Grove Primary School in Chester were among the finalists in this year’s Global Educator of the Year Award. The Global Educator of the Year Award is run by Think Global and aims to celebrate the work of educators who are helping young people to become good global citizens. You can read more about their work and that of the winner and other finalists here
. Well done to all the finalists especially those who are sharing their work through the GLP!
GLP Lead Practitioner accreditation
You can now choose to fund the GLP Lead Practitioner Accreditation using your school’s e-credits. Lead Practitioner Accreditation demonstrates long-lasting evidence of the impact you have had through the GLP programme on a personal and professional level. If you’d like to receive this professional recognition for your work as a GLP Coordinator, please take a moment to complete the short self-assessment over the next few weeks – adding short, supporting statements and evidence against each of the criteria. You can edit or add to your online submission as often as you need to prior to the next gateway deadline of 7 June 2015. You can find out more about this and all GLP-approved CPD courses, by visiting the CPD calendar. We would like to encourage all Coordinators who feel ready to do so to submit for this summer’s gateway. If you have any questions about the process, please contact GLPaccreditation@ssatuk.co.uk.
A few reminders...
Please can we ask that you to carry out the following, essential GLP activities to ensure that you school receives the maximum benefit from your time on the programme.
- Complete the GLP Whole School Audit as soon as possible to enable access to your School Action Plan and e-credit funding for CPD.
- Book onto GLP-approved CPD courses – you may want to consider attending CPD with your network as a cluster rather than individually? Your Expert Centre Coordinator can discuss the options with you and the other schools in your network.
- Use the new Pupil Assessment Tool to help identify priorities for teaching and impacts of learning on pupils.
