Dear Friend of PST, We're excited about The Essex. It's the fifth installment in Lawrence Howard's acclaimed Armchair Adventurer series. He has been researching this one for more than year. The Essex is the real, true story of a Nantucket whaling ship that was rammed and sunk by a sperm whale in the middle of the Pacific Ocean in 1820. This story became the inspiration for Melville's Moby Dick and Ron Howard's new movie In The Heart of The Sea.The Essex is a World Premiere Project in the Fertile Ground Festival and is appropriate for ages 17+
