Oddbods Sees Explosive Results of its Halloween Special
One Animation’s Oddbods wowed audiences and exceeded expectations with exclusive Halloween content being viewed by an audience of over 250M views during the month of October. 
One Animation released the hugh viewing figures, following a month-long blast of activity engaging some of the world’s largest ‘kidfluencers’ and chart-topping music brands. 
The Halloween special reached the heights of over 35M views on Oddbods proprietary channels alone, with YouTube Kids dedicating a ‘frighteningly good’ takeover on the channel supported by free creepy content downloads, official banners and loads of hands on activity including exclusive prizes and prints from the Oddbods very own creator, Richard Thomas.  
One Animation also recently released the Oddbods GO-KARDS card-based racing board game in partnership with game developer, Playware, on crowd-funding site, Kickstarter.

Aardman Becomes Employee-Owned Business
Aardman is handing over a 75% stake in the business to their 140 employees in a bid to protect the Bristol-based company’s independence.
Peter Lord and David Sproxton, who founded the UK’s biggest animation production company while still at school, are set for a multimillion-pound payout as part of the deal, under which they will together continue to own a quarter of Aardman Holdings, the company’s parent group.
On Friday, the company brought out its first major console game 11:11: Memories Retold, which follows two characters on opposing sides of the first world war, and Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon will be released next year.

Nadiya Hussain Launches Homeware Range
British TV Chef, author and television presenter Nadiya Hussain, in collaboration with BlissHome, announces the launch of her homeware range, inspired by her love of vibrant colours and tactile designs.
This collection is the result of Nadiya’s passion to produce something beautiful and handcrafted that can be used every day. It features eight different designs across the full tableware range, as well as spice racks, candles, aprons, oven gloves and tea towels

Bluestar Alliance and HoMedics Sign Brookstone Agreement.
Bluestar Alliance LLC and HoMedics have announced the signing of a $165 million, five-year license agreement under the Brookstone brand.   The license covers a range of massage, massage chair, home environment and other select product categories.
“We are thrilled to have HoMedics as a cornerstone Brookstone licensee.  Our mutual objective is to capitalize and expand upon Brookstone’s brand legacy in rest, relaxation and wellness,” noted Bluestar Alliance CEO Joey Gabbay. “HoMedics has the superior product development capabilities and the strong retail relationships necessary to fully realize the Brookstone brand’s potential.” 

CBS Expands Merchandising Across Hit Properties
CBS Consumer Products has unveiled a broad lineup of new licensees and product offerings to help further expand the merchandising programs for its hit TV properties. The new deals will see fan-favorite brands represented in product categories ranging from apparel to gaming to novelty items and beyond.
The new additions will focus primarily on the CBS’ late-night presence with Gonzales/Fifth Sun developing new apparel tied to both The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and The Late Late Show With James Corden. In addition, Surreal will create home and automotive products for Corden while ACCO Brands will produce franchise-branded calendars. ACCO will also create new products featuring CBS’ long-running Friday night hit Blue Bloods.
Over at Showtime, Billions will see an expanded presence through a new line of Funko figures, Hit It Rich mobile slots with Zynga and a gaming line overseen by Aristocrat. Breakout hit Our Cartoon President will be bolstered by a new line of messaging stickers from Bare Tree Media and apparel from Gonzales/Fifth Sun. Additionally, Alex and Ani has been signed to create a jewlery line for Twin Peaks. The David Lynch and Mark Frost created series will also see a new line of apparel from
Yet the biggest influx of new agreements is tied to the CBS library of classic hits including new games based on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (Skywind Holdings), The Love Boat (Gameloft) and MacGyver (Novomatic), as well as apparel based on Beverly Hills 90210 (Brand Design), The Brady Bunch (Malibu Shirts) and The Twilight Zone (Gonzales/Fifth Sun).
In addition, Mighty Mouse will see a range of new products. Lastly, Gonzales/Fifth Sun will create new apparel lines for Jane The Virgin and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.

H&A Launches L.O.L. Surprise! Gifting Range
British beauty supplier H&A is tapping into L.O.L. Surprise! with a new range of children’s gift products.
Staying true to the brand, the range includes a selection of products all designed to include an element of surprise, through unboxing, hidden extras and secret packaging.

GWCC Becomes Master Souvenir Partner for Transport for London

Haddad Brands & Crayola to Launch Apparel and Accessories Line
Haddad Brands has joined forces with Crayola to launch an apparel program inspired by color and creativity for infants and children.

The infant and children’s apparel, accessories and hosiery line integrating the color, creativity and self-expression that have been the hallmark of the Crayola brand for more than a century debuted at the fall 2019 fashion preview held at Candytopia in New York City.

Pokémon Launches Special Events at Hamleys

The Pokémon Company International is teaming up with Hamleys for two days of Pokémon activity at London’s world-famous toy shop on 17 and 18 November.
Visitors to the renowned Regent Street store will have a rare opportunity to meet Pokémon favourites Pikachu and Eevee, and will be able to step into a giant Pokémon snow globe for the ultimate festive selfie. Collectors and players who spend £10 or more on selected Pokémon Trading Card Game products in store will also receive a limited-edition promo card featuring Suicune. The activities run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday 17 November, and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday 18 November.
In addition, a new branded Pokémon gondola on the fifth floor of Hamleys will display a range of products including the Pokémon Trading Card Game.

Rocket Licensing Appointed for Derry Girls

Rocket Licensing has been appointed by Hat Trick to manage the UK and Ireland licensing campaign for the hit Channel 4 comedy series Derry Girls.

Lisa McGee’s series pulls together elements of politics, humour and nostalgia in a way that has given Derry Girls a consistent and enthusiastic audience since its launch, and quickly guaranteed a second series, commissioned for early next year.
The success of the sitcom has inspired a licensing campaign which is to be managed by Rocket Licensing. Rocket will be focusing on a number of major categories to appeal to fans including apparel, accessories, gifting and homewares, stationery and social stationery, health and beauty, and games and puzzles.

Luxury Hendrix Apparel Partnership Set for Spring

Epic Rights and Perryscope Productions, exclusive retail branding partners for Authentic Hendrix – which celebrates the style and talent of Jimi Hendrix – announce a new, luxury apparel partnership, blending the spirit of Hendrix with Los Angeles-based fashion label Libertine, founded by innovative designer Johnson Hartig.

The Authentic Hendrix-Libertine partnership involves the creation of a luxury men’s and women’s apparel capsule collection, inspired by Hendrix’s singularly legendary style, which will be interpreted and designed by Hartig. The collection is set to debut in spring 2019 and will be supported by a soon-to-be-announced event and marketing initiatives.

Entertainment One’s Cupcake & Dino: General Services Set to ‘Clean Up’ on Disney XD Brasil this November
Entertainment One (eOne) has announced that its new original animated comedy series Cupcake & Dino: General Services, created by Brazilian director, Pedro Eboli, will make its debut in Brazil on Netflix on the 13th November and on Disney XD Brasil from 15th November 2018.
Cupcake & Dino: General Services is a co-production between eOne and Brazil’s award-winning animation studio Birdo Studios, which also co-creates the popular animated series, Oswaldo.

Leeds Castle Launches Gin to Celebrate Anniversary
Leeds Castle celebrates its 900th anniversary in 2019 and to celebrate has teamed up with Copper Rivet Distillery in Medway, UK to produce a special and limited edition ‘Motte & Baillie’ gin!
The gin has been distilled in a limited batch of 900 bottles and is infused with specially selected botanicals from the Castle estate; sweet fig from the Castle Island, floral Rosehip from the Culpeper Gardens and fragrant pine picked from the Lady Baillie Mediterranean Terraces.
Each botanical was handpicked by the Leeds Castle Gardeners and given to Copper Rivet’s Head Distiller to infuse the flavours and create this unique, craft gin.

Debra Valencia Expands Bedding Collections and Home Decor

2018: Debra Valencia and her licensing partner Duke Imports have announced the release of over 10 new Debra Valencia designed bedding ensembles and quilts, plus the expansion of new products. Based on the success to date, Duke Imports plans to continue to introduce new bedding collections twice annually and add additional home décor items featuring Valencia's designs. The deal was created by The Brand Liaison, the exclusive licensing agent for designer Debra Valencia.
